My husband and I are so pleased with the outcome of our wedding provided by the lovely music from TheCandlelight String Quartet! The quality of music from the quartet was perfect, and we continue to get compliments from our guests. We were fortunate to have them play for both our ceremony and entire reception! The quartet was very flexible at the reception as they began outdoors and eventually moved indoors during the dining hour. Robert, the main contact individual, was also very flexible in meeting with my parents and I the week of the wedding. He spent several hours with us during this time in helping us choose the appropriate pieces of music for our special day. Throughout the entire time leading up to our wedding day, Candlelight Music was always very responsive to my phone calls and emails. They truely put us at ease as we were busy planning our wedding. The group also presented themselves very professionally as their dress attire was very formal and elegant. My husband and I highly recommend the Candlelight String Quartet to make your wedding a very special and elegant day!

Candlelight Music was not initally part of my plan for my ceremony music, but after hearing them perform at my wedding venue a few months before my ceremony, I am so glad that I was able to invest what little extra money we had to hiring them. I hired a string duo for the ceremony. My wedding processional was Pachabel's Cannon in D along with a pianst that was a family friend of my husband. The music sounded like it was a recording and was absolutely perfect. The duo, which included the "owner" of the company, Mr. Connolly, came dressed in tuxedos and played beautifully. I also had 2 soloist sing, and they were able to work with them as well. They were very easy to work with. All I did was e-mail them a list of the songs we wanted them to play and the contact information of our pianist and they did the rest. Numerous people told me how beautiful their music was, and they added that touch of elegance and class that I was looking for; afterall, how many people get a string duo at their wedding?

I used Candlelight music for our wedding ceremony on September 16th 2011. I will just say that they set such a beautiful and romantic tone for the service. The string quartet looked extremely professional dressed in tuxedos. I remember arriving to the church and finally hearing what I have been planning for months. The quartet was playing the prelude music which I had selected. I just remember how beautiful they sounded. It was as if we were playing a recording. I was a violinist myself and was very satisfied with their quality of sound. Through the planning process they worked with me every step of the way even providing suggestions which were very helpful. Every question and email I wrote I was responded to either the same day or the following day. The quartet was able to play every movement I selected-some which were not even on their playlist. They even played a hymn that is very special to me during the lighting of our unity candle. So many of our guests just had the best things to say about the string quartet and how beautiful all the music was. They were the perfect touch for an unforgettable wedding ceremony. It was just like the movies :) I highly recommend this company to provide the music needs for anyones events. Cheers!

Just one week ago, on 8/13/11, Candlelight Music String Quartet played at The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception for my daughter's wedding. They were nothing short of fabulous! (After a show of various musicians almost a year ago, our family knew we wanted this Quartet to perform for our daughter's wedding without hesitation. My daughter is trained herself in both voice and piano for many years throughout childhood, so she decided on the spot, upon hearing Candlelight Music that this is what she wanted for her wedding.) They exceeded our expectations! We were given three pages of music from which to choose for the Prelude, the Processional and the Recessional, places in the service where we could personally design our musical ceremony; this was itself impressive. We signed a contract with them immediately, not wanting to lose them to another wedding. Robert Connell of Candlelight Music was most responsive to the Mother of the Bride (me) and my calls and emails at all times. As my daughter lives out of town, this was extremely important to me as we needed to do extra coordinating. On the phone, Robert Connell spent time with me, at first explaining where all the music would come in, in the service, then even "whistling" tunes to refresh my memory when I had a question like "Ave Maria by Shubert or Handel?". The proof of their excellence, however was their performance on the Wedding Day. They played a great deal: The Prelude, many pieces during the Mass, and the Recessional. It was so beautiful, that afterwards in the receiving line, our family got comment after comment like, "I felt like I was an 'extra' in a movie in this Mass, the music was so beautiful!" and "I felt like I was watching a movie it was all so beautiful..... and the MUSIC!!". A week later we are still getting calls, cards, emails to this same effect. While I did not know that "wedding Wire" existed, I emailed Robert Connell of Candlelight Music and told him that we received such positive feedback that should he ever need a word of mouth referral, as the mother of a Bride, I would surely most highly recommend this group to anyone, for any setting! Candlelight Music was a real find for my daughter's Church wedding. Robert Connell was extremely professional and took time to make the ceremony exactly what our daughter wanted. The entire quartet was dressed impeccably and the music was all that we could have wished for. There is a huge variety from which to choose and Robert will take all the time needed to make everything perfect. I would recommend Candlelight Music without the slightest reservation!!!

Robert Connell, and Candlelight Music really pulled out all of the stops for our special day! I can't say enough about how professional Robert was, and how flexible they were with everything including our schedule, location, and playlist! I decided last minute to ask them to play a Guns n' Roses song, and they were able to find the music for piano or guitar, and played it beautifully as a string quartet. Extremely talented group. Worth every penny and then some!

We are so glad we decided to use Candlelight Music to play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We used a DJ for the reception but wanted live music for the ceremony. They were supposed to start 20 min. prior to the ceremony but were there well in advance of that time to warm up. My guests were greeted by their wonderful music and the wedding party walked down the aisle to their music. Mr. Connell was very helpful in recommending music we weren't sure about. They played both classical and popular music during the cocktail hour. We could still hear them playing as we entered the ballroom to begin the reception. They were very professional and looked as good as they sounded. They were well worth the cost and we recommend them to anyone seeking music for their wedding.

It was so special to have a 4 string quartet greet our guests as they arrived for the ceremony. In addition, it was wondereful to have them play during the processional and after the ceremony as well as through the cocktail hour. It really added to this part of the wedding. Robert, who I worked with leading up to the wedding, was wonderful to work with. He helped in the selection of the music, wihch sounded amazing. The musicians all looked professional, with the men in tuxedos and the woman in a dress. We had a DJ for the remainder of the evening, but the quartet was worth every penny.

Our daughter got married this June in Holy Family Church. We hired Candlelight Music to play during the mass. IT WAS WONDERFUL! They played beautifully and were so professional! They really made it special. People are still talking about the the music!! They also worked with my daughter so she could have the music she wanted to make the day special. We have hired Candlelight music in the past for other events and they always do a great job.... We would light to thank them once again for making the day that much more special. We used Candlelight Music for our daughters Wedding Ceremony at St. Daniels Church. They did an awesome job! The feedback I received from our guests was nothing but positive comments from all. Having a string quartet just raised the bar of elegance to the whole ceremony. One of the bridesmaids sang Ave Maria and they worked with her before the ceremony to help make everything run smooth. The quality of the music was nothing short of a 10! We highly recommend this very professional music group.

I heard of Bob Connell and Candlelight Music from my professional association with SubCat Music Studios, who raved about their talent. Even though our wedding plans at the Cathedral (downtown Syracuse) were more than last minute, Candlelight Music was more than accommodating. As a music lover and a classical musician myself, I was absolutely delighted that I was able to pick out our repertoire. My lovely husband put the musical reins in my hands, and I was able to select the exact music I wanted for the seating of our guests as well as our ceremony proper. Candlelight Music's online catalog was (is!) incredibly impressive. Their talent and professionalism enhanced our day. I would recommend Candlelight Music to anyone who is getting married!

Candlelight Music really made our ceremony perfect! The music was beautiful, they dressed professionally and put in extra effort to make every detail exceptional. It was easy planning with Robert, he and his wife guided me to a great music choice. The music selection was very large. I was able to work through email which was important as I was traveling around the world while planning the wedding. I never even got to meet them face-to-face and they just went beyond expectations. I can't wait to plan another event in NY and include them!

We had the pleasure of having Robert Connell from Candelight Music play at our wedding. We had a solo violin but the music filled up the entire chapel room. When I was in the bridal room, the music was so beautiful I was tearing up. I have received a number of compliments on his playing. It really adds a nice, classy touch and at a great price. Robert was great to work with - he answered my questions beforehand so I felt very confident just providing him with the processional/recessional song list and just let him run with it.

We were so happy with our choice to hire Candlelight music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were quite possibly the best money we spent at our wedding. We actually asked them to perform special request music, i.e., "Night Swimming,” by R.E.M., "San Bernardino" by the Mountain Goats and "All I Want is You," by U2, and these songs are not in their normal repertoire. They put in a lot of effort to learn new music that we had never seen before, so that we would be very happy and pleased and the results showed!! These special selections blew us away -they were so beautiful and added such a special element to our wedding. Candlelight Music knew that it was very important to us to have special music that meant a lot to us on our wedding day. I also had several phone calls with Robert Connell the lead musician throughout the planning process, and he was professional and listened carefully to what we wanted for our wedding. They were very flexible and willing to go out of their way to perform new pieces. We received so many complements on these performers it really was money very well spent! Their performance at the cocktail hour likewise was fantastic! We highly recommend Candlelight music to brides who want beautiful music and easy to work with musicians and music for your wedding that will be unforgettable!

I cannot express how wonderful Candlight Music's performance was at my June wedding. It was beyond my expectations. They were incredibly flexible with my special requests, namely "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night, which was our recessional! We received so many compliments! They also performed an amazing amount of Beatles music, such as "Imagine," "Hard Days Night," "All You Need is Love," "When I'm 64," "I Will," "Here Comes the Sun," and "At Last" by Harry Warren. The music was so beautiful-when I was waiting in the back of the church, hearing it made me cry. Their music really made our ceremony special, and I would recommend them to any bride. And the price is great, especially considering their quality!

This was a fantastic choice. We had a 60th wedding anniversary party and Candlelight Music (violin/piano) played for the entire party. They were wonderful and their selection of music was varied and suited the attendees and occasion perfectly. We could not have been happier and many people commented on how nice the music was.

Wonderful choice - I highly recommend them! Our wedding was in an old inn and Candlelight Music provided our cocktail hour music (which turned into 2 hours!). What a wonderful presentation and the music was amazing! Our guests (many from out of town) were thrilled to sit and listen - a professional, class-act concert that we are still hearing people talk about in awe. Robert Connell responded readily to our calls and emails. We planned the music out very early on and they delivered all we expected and more! I live in New Jersey and the wedding was in upstate New York, so it was key we worked wtih vendors who were responsive and professional; Candlelight is both and more. Last minute, the night of the wedding, we asked them to put in overtime as the guests were still enjoying the cocktail hour AND the music - they readily accommodated. They are also just really nice people. We asked them to stay for dinner and my 83-yr old Mom was thrilled to talk to them as she played violin as a young girl. I truly appreciate how Candlelight helped make a great night a truly enchanted evening. This may sound like over-the-top praise - it is well-deserved.

At our September 2009 9-11 Memorial we were honored to have Robert Connell volunteer to join us in remembrance of the victims of September 11 2001 attacks. After a short video of that day�s tragic events Robert came to play for us as the victim�s names were scrolled on a video screen in our front yard for our guests to see. The night brought cold wind and rain and Robert endured the elements to bring us an exceptional performance. His solo violin brought an emotional element to the evening felt by all who attended. The Francisco Family, Guests and the 2976 victims of the 9-11 Attacks wish to give Robert our deepest Thanks!
